Classes. It was my good fortune to get my start in rodmaking through a course with the late George Maurer. Those hours spent in his shop helped me get off to the best possible start as a rodmaker. If the idea of making your own bamboo fly rod appeals to you, I would be honored to help you get started. I will break down the entire process into easily learned steps. Each class is tailored to the individual student. You will receive one-on-one training and learn at your own pace. This class takes approximately 50 hours of shop time to complete. This can be achieved in one of two ways: (1) Spread out over several weeks, or (2) Concentrated into a one-week period.
